TOODYAY FIRE – 29th December, 2009
Luck was with us at Avalon the day of the Toodyay Fires. The fire passed by approx 1km south of Avalon homestead, and the wind took the fire in an eastern direction. Hence not causing any impact on our business.
Many thanks to all the lovely people who enquired about our wellbeing. And the many donations from some of regular guests to help those who were fire effected.

“Business as Usual at Avalon”
Our guest rooms received a make over so next time you visit, you'll see more changes. We’ve painted the guest rooms and bathrooms, and created a feature "headboard" for the beds, plus the entire Homestead's carpet has been replaced.
Babies Babies Babies
January 2010
Love is in the air at Avalon with our pet goat just having given birth to twin baby boys. Our little chihuahua Ella had 3 puppies (2 boys and a girl). All are healthy and happy and she is an excellent mother so far. Best of all, we have been grandparents since March 2009 when our son, Ashley and Jesse became proud parents of their beautiful baby girl, Imigine Ella Anna Wakefield.
